One hell of an album. Must hear.

Sound: As far as metal albums go, this is one of the greatest. There’s not a single track on this album which isn’t a genious piece of musical writing. It ranges from heavy and powerful tracks such as Metalingus, to slower and more emotional ballads such as In Loving Memory. All songs feature the breathtaking guitar playing of Mark Tremonti, with songs such as Open Your Eyes and Find The Real showing some insanely fast solos. Myles Kennedy is in my opinion one of the most talented vocalists in a modern rock band. I can’t fault their sound.
Lyrics: The lyrics on this album are very deep and meaningful. The song In Loving Memory is a perfect example of this. The majority of the lyrics were written by guitarist Mark Tremonti, which shows he’s talented beyond his instrument. The singing on this album is outstanding.
Impression: Overall this is an absolutely amazing album. It’s much better than the Creed records in my opinion, which I also love. My favourite songs are Burn It Down, In Loving Memory and Down To My Last, all of which are powerful and feature awesome guitaring. There’s nothing bad I can say. It’s a brilliant metal album, that’s definately worth getting and adding to your metal collection. Any Collection would be incomplete without it.
